imaging & video software developer
Location(s): Kirkland, WA / Hyderabad, India
PortalPlayer is looking for an imaging and video software developer/designer
to join our team developing portable multimedia device infrastructure.
Qualified candidates will join us on the cutting edge of embedded
technology, using OODD (Object Oriented Design and Development),
UML, and C++ to create market-leading portable device technology.
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable about digital image processing and post processing
algorithms for digital still camera to improve image quality.
- Hardware knowledge on CMOS sensor circuitry with system level
understanding of video, imaging and video signal processing.
- Hands on experience on system level integration, performance
and power optimization, problem resolution of imaging products
like digital still camera with JPEG compression.
- Experience in developing image and video post-processing algorithms
will be highly beneficial (de-interlacing, frame-rate conversions,
de-blocking filtering, flicker-reduction, etc).
- Experience working with Audio codecs like MP3, WMA, AAC, AC3
or others will be added advantage.
- Experience in power, performance and other systems
of embedded platform development - RTOS, inter- and multi-processor
communications is desirable.
- Education: MS in Electrical Engineering with 6 years
experience or PhD with 3 years experience.
