software engineerLocation(s): Kirkland, WA/ Hyderabad, India Reference: SWKL-0104 The PortalPlayer Software Engineering Group designs, develops and deploys state-of-the-art software and applications that support digital music devices. It is a demanding responsibility requiring hardware/software application engineering and working with multi-vendor software and hardware. You will develop complex architectures and code which may include performing in a team of software engineers with the responsibility to deliver a suite of code. In this position you may be responsible for assisting to remove roadblocks impeding development. You will be required to solve customer problems identified by sales and marketing, and diagnose and troubleshoot customer problems. Successful applicants will be able to assist with Benchmark testing, and assist with identification of opportunities consistent with product capabilities. You will also be required to track and advise on evolving/developing related software technologies. You should have a concept of consumer appliances as well as the ability to analyze the usability of audio players and its user interface. Requirements:
