PortalPlayer intends to integrate the InterTrust DRM capabilities into PC applications, firmware, and integrated circuit designs for a wide range of digital media products, starting with portable audio devices.

PortalPlayer markets its complete digital media platforms to consumer electronics companies. With this agreement, PortalPlayer will offer InterTrust's Rights/PD to its customers as its preferred DRM technology, providing consumer electronics manufacturers with the ability to quickly develop and bring to market secure audio players and other devices that enhance the consumer's digital music experience.
