PortalPlayer, Inc. to Announce Fourth Quarter and Fiscal 2005 Financial Results

San Jose, Calif., Jan. 9, 2006 - PortalPlayer, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLAY), a leading supplier of advanced semiconductor, firmware and software solutions for the personal media player market, today announced that it will release its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2005 financial results on Thursday, January 26, 2006 following the market close.

PortalPlayer will host a conference call at 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time (PT)/5:30 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on that day to discuss these results. To listen to the conference call, please dial (913) 981-5533.
