director, third party development

PortalPlayer, a global leading solution provider for audio, imaging and video consumer entertainment products, is seeking a full-time Director for developing and managing third party development houses for PortalPlayer solutions. The individual will be responsible for Firmware/Software IP development as well as customer program development by external partners in various categories.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess the strength of development houses in collaboration with internal development teams
• Identify and define work with specific goals and ROI analysis
• Negotiate and finalize business logistics with 3rd party houses
• Define and manage milestones, schedules and deliverables
• Validate deliverables to the preset objectives
• Manage relationships with external business partners (customers, licensors and developers)
• Coordinate internal teams working on projects (engineering, sales & marketing, and SQA)
• Plan, develop, deploy 3rd party developers training program
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors' degree in business or engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• 3-5 years experience in the CE industry
• Minimum 10 years experience in project management and/or business development
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
