The PortalPlayer Hardware Engineering Group designs, develops and deploys state-of-the-art software and applications that support digital music devices. It is a demanding responsibility requiring hardware/software application engineering and working with multi-vendor software and hardware.

Requirements: The position requires a Masters Degree in Engineering with over 6 years of experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with over 8 years of experience. The candidate should be a good team player, have Project Management skills, done project co- ordination across multiple teams and have the ability to lead, manage and co-ordinate. Other requirements include:

• Must have independently designed a major part of a multi-million gate SoC
• Should be able to come up with design specifications from the top level architecture definitions
• Must have architected the verification environment for a multi million gate SoC
• Good at analog and mixed signal design. Must have integrated analog and mixed signal IPs into an SoC
• Strong Logic design skills
• Excellent Verilog RTL Coding Skills along with good debugging skills
• Hands on experience on multiple clock domain designs, design for low power and DFT
• Should have exhaustively used simulators like NC-Verilog, VCS
• Should have handled design verification and posses strong verification skills
• Must have handled design verification at module, chip and system level
• Good knowledge on latest verification languages and tools
• Well proficient with synthesis and timing tools
• Preferable C/Assembly Knowledge and coding
• Preferable prototyping experience using FPGAs
• Preferable knowledge on System Verilog or Vera
• Good at LVDS and other high speed Serial interface standards.
