The PortalPlayer Firmware/Software Engineering Group designs, develops and deploys state-of-the-art firmware/software and applications that support digital music devices. It is a demanding responsibility requiring hardware/software application engineering and working with multi-vendor software and hardware.

Requirements: The position requires a BE/Btech or ME/Mtech in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent with over 5 years of experience. The candidate should be a good team player, with excellent time management, organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Other requirements include:

• Experience developing audio/imaging/video codecs in C, C++ and assembly
• Strong foundation in DSP and Filter design, including implementation
• Codec(s) integration with system software/firmware and debug expertise
• MPEG/H.264/WMV decoder/encoder development, porting, optimization is a plus
• ARM assembly is a plus
• OpenMax/DirectX knowledge is a plus
• Vectored accelerator engines and coprocessor based codec expertise is a plus
• Solid track record delivering successful products and applications through the full product lifecycle
